First induction ceremony, December 2nd, 2006, Alpha Chapter, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. NC Senator Ellie Kinnaird Keynote Speaker

The Alpha Chapter of Epsilon Eta was formally established as an Environmental Honors Fraternity at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on April 5th, 2006. It was the first of its kind in America and was the conception of  Liza Schillo, an  environmental studies undergraduate at the University at that time. Charters were Anna Marie Fabiszewski, Jesse Prentice-Dunn and Liza Schillo.

2006 Alpha classIn November 2006, the first elections for the Alpha Chapter were held, with Liza Schillo elected President, Anna Marie Fabiszewski, Vice-President, Tyler Daluz, Treasurer and Hannah Early, Secretary. On December 2nd 2006 the first induction ceremony held in Murphey Hall, UNC Chapel Hill with NC Senator  Ellie Kinnaird as the keynote speaker. Inductions werer awarded by Drs. Douglas Crawford-Brown and Greg Gangi, Advisors to Epsilon Eta. The Alpha Class included Jennifer Bellis, Robin Bolte, John Bryan, Jean Burnett, Patty Chuang, Lily Clark, Emily Cohn, Tyler Daluz, Hannah Early, Charles Edwards, Madeline Gwyn, Rachel Harper, Kirstin Hunt, Alia Khan, Kincaid Lowe, Lauren Miller, Meredith Morgan, Jessica Leigh Nichols, Alec Palermo, Stephanie Wendel, and Logan Yonavjak.
